Enviro News That Impacts You and Our Earth

I Count for myEarth (ICFME) is dedicated to raising our children’s environmental… awareness inspiring dialog between children—and their families—about how they can make a difference. One child, one family, one step at a time.

Our children will inherit the Earth. If we can inspire a child to believe, “I Count for myEarth”, then anything is possible.

The inspiration behind our mission
Owned and operated by enozOblue, inc., I Count for myEarth was the brainchild of enozOblue President and Founder Lynn Hasselberger. In 2006, when her son started soccer and t-ball, Lynn witnessed the bottled water phenonomen like never before.

“When we carpooled with other families, disposable bottled water was freely doled out of the back of SUVs before, during and after sports practice and games. When my son entered first grade, we were instructed by the school to pack water for our children daily. Never a fan of bottled water, I packed a reusable bottle for my son. It took no time for my son to complain about being the ‘only one’ who doesn’t pack a “plastic” bottle (disposable water bottle). I explained to him how wasteful and costly bottled water was, and the negative impact it had on the environment. And he never looked back!

This six-year old started reminding my husband to turn off the lights and hoof it to the next errand if it was within walking distance. And he took great pride in alerting my husband and me of our own environmental mis-steps. Wouldn’t all children, if so inspired, serve as daily environmental champions within their homes, too?”

“I’ve made a commitment to help people transition to a more earth-friendly lifestyle. Everyone’s busy and there’s just so much information out there about what’s good and what’s bad for the environment. Hopefully I can help sort through some of that. If you’ll excuse the cliché—It’s just not easy being Green.”
